[Mach Speed]

Great gameplay and controls. Decent graphics. Interesting story.

If this sort of gameplay were adapted into a longer game with level selection, menus, bonus levels, a more comprehensive story, etc., I would certainly love to play it. It definitely gave off a Super Meat Boy vibe, and that's a really good thing.

[Story of the Blanks]

Good

The graphics were fairly detailed for a NES-style game. None of the backgrounds seem to have been reused. Different palettes during different parts of the story added to the effect of the scene while the backgrounds and sprites added to the feeling of playing a NES game.

The audio is good. The music sounds pony-esque and maintains the NES theme. Both audio and visuals manage to keep the theme of a pony NES game while remaining good quality.

The plot is good. When you enter the town where the blanks live, you hardly expect what is going to happen next, although the pony in the house with the crates foreshadows that something is terribly wrong. It could have been longer. It seems as though everything in the game happened quite fast.

The gameplay is good. The ghost ponies are enough to take most of the players off guard and keep them interested during the escape of the forest. More could have been done to add different gameplay elements. Most of the game is just talking to ponies.

You could contact Lauren Faust about turning the plot into a full movie or an episode.

The people who made the music did an awesome job indeed! There are so many awesome chiptune artists out there if you just look around a bit.

The game was a bit short, 32 screens to be exact. That's actually based upon an arbitrary limitation I set for the levels to avoid spreading out the game over too many screens. Past experiences tell me that players don't particularly enjoy too many empty areas and tend to get a bit impatient if a game takes too long to get somewhere.

lawdy, I'd like to see this as an episode in the show. The one episode that gets the show banned in Germany and gives children over the world nightmares :D

[The Flashbulbian Romance]

Well Done

Not every game can pull off the "low resolution" look, but this is one of the games that can. Fitting music complements the creepy, almost warped theme of the game. The lighting system is well designed, with obvious shadows falling in places where the light cannot reach due to obstacles. Each level has a unique theme to it to add variety.

What would make it even better would be a bit more of an ending and something else to do as far as gameplay goes. As it is now, it's nothing but labyrinths .

[Block In A Tower]

Good

This game has a good concept: a lone block in a tower full of blocks which the lone block must escape from. Using that as the basis for the game was a good decision. The graphics are fair. What is really lacking is a plot or motivation to go through the tower. Adding a little bit of story to the beginning of the game would be a good idea. From there, the game could continue on infinitely and have randomly generated floors. At the end there could be a global highscore board.

[The NG BBS Game]

Just Like the Real Thing

This is a pretty accurate description of the BBS.

You should add "OS War" and "Browser War" as upgrades. Nothing causes a lot of posts (and flaming) like a war over operating systems and browsers. Also, as an Easter egg, you should get bonus views if you title the thread "Mac vs. PC", "This is it.", "*parodythread", or "Lotsa Spaghetti".

All in all, good game. It's nothing amazing, but it is a fairly accurate picture of the BBS.
