Thanks, my dude! I'm hopeful. I don't want to see Newgrounds disappear in my lifetime. There's way too much awesome creative energy here. All it really needs is a shift in focus to kickstart things.

Same. The way Tom approaches problems I am (hopeful) too, he seems to see the bigger picture always; manage to keep a necessary balance as far as preservation/progression goes for the sake of longevity, if I ran this site I would've probably run the site to the ground rather than shut down a forum... maybe a new General may come in time. Again. I'd like to think so. A reset on topics and mannerisms of discussion then. And the old still archived for all time...
Regardless though the content's definitely mainly what drives people in. Good focus. I'm not a huge fan of blogs replacing forums overall, but with a more Patreon-like structure maybe we really could have our own communities that way too. Intrigued to see how it all evolves...
Speaking of kickstarting things: wouldn't mind some direct Kickstarter competition woven into these evolving artist hubs too...
Tom is good like that. I agree that I probably would have kept General open if it were my choice, but it's his website and he's probably tired of the bullshit after two decades so it's hard to blame him. I really do think that Newgrounds would be in a good spot to steal some market share. But it's a tall order for a small staff.

Yepp, true that, truly a tiny staff for a place as big as this. Hope the lesser administrative workload (with general and all) allows for some delving into these new venues and opportunities...
Hopefully! If I lived in Philly then I would probably be hitting up Tom to see if he has any open positions. It would be nice to give back to the site where I spent so much time when I was younger.
