The animation is fine, but the content is all pseudo-scientific, new-age, ancient aliens-esque nonsense with no basis in fact. Anyone watching this should be viewing it for entertainment purposes only -- not for any real, factual information. Unless you're looking for information about various myths regarding the moon as well as mathematical mysticism.

Seriously. This animation alleges that the moon is a magical, hollow, shock-dampened sphere which was constructed by aliens as a way of not only saving the Earth but also influencing our brains. Then it goes on to explain the moon mathematically in the form of (1 / 3) * 9 = (1 / 9) * 27 which is supposed to amaze those who are not good at mathematics. It's like watching an episode of Ancient Aliens or seeing The DaVinci Code.

The animation quality and voice acting was pretty good, though. That was the only thing that kept me from giving this dis-informational animation a lower score.

RiverJordan responds:

It's fair of you to think so, but I happen to disagree.

Allow me to explain what specifically I disagree with. This video is a combination of 2 things: Fact and Theory.

In the beginning, we describe some very simple FACTS that take place (like the moon craters or nasa crashing modules into the moon and observing a reaction that normally indicates hollow-ness). From there we openly discuss ALL of the theories from the perspective that they are theories and that we don't know.

Shaming it and writing it off as pseudo-scientific new age nonsense without giving the credit that I actually went to great lengths to do what you're describing you want, I think, Is rude.

But that's just my thoughts ^_^

Voice acting and animation need work. The story is OK.

I really feel like you were channeling @Sirtom93 for that last bit, though.

LightningBolt13 responds:

Thank you, I'm always trying to improve. And Sirtom93? I've never actually heard of that guy.

Really funny, clever, and well-animated.

The voice acting could use some work, though (especially Mewtwo). It sounded like you were recording inside a tin can. I recommend you build a dedicated sound booth (they're pretty cheap) or hire a voice actor to do your voices.

Other than that, this is an overall really great submission.

Sunrie responds:

It's called a laser reverb in Audacity. Was going for an effect in which it was almost as if MewTwo was speaking telepathically.

I have the strangest feeling that I was the inspiration for this animation.

Absurdly hilarious. One of the funniest videos I've seen in a long time.

thegalaxyninja responds:

Thanks!

Very good animation.

The story, animation, and sound were all very good. I don't really have any complaints.

I look forward to seeing more of your work.

SuperJeffoMan responds:

Thanks man :)

Very interesting. I've heard of this sort of thing before, but I've yet to see it as a Newgrounds submission.

Unfortunately, the visuals make it a bit hard to watch. It was grainy and the camera was constantly hunting for focus. I would find someone with a DSLR camera and ask them to record it. They can pre-focus where the light it going to be and then switch to manual focus before recording. You may be able to do the same thing with a camcorder.

zacandtheexplorerz responds:

Thankyou for being honest and you are right it is poor quality to watch, im trying to organise an actual peformance of me peforming with one of my songs....easier said than done...asap. if i had acess to gear would do it right now.

I was ready to discredit this animation for the highly cliche

icyentertainment responds:

Are you calling MY LIFE highly cliche?!?!

Unfortunately, this animation is not even complete. It's simply an animatic.

I can't give you any stars when there really isn't even a finished animation to judge.

rakorin responds:

Well I don't know man I said it was a speech animation in the description
that what you have to judge it as
its only a test for colors and mouth movements

There doesn't seem to be any real ending or punchline.

It abruptly loops without any feeling of finality.

The animation quality itself is good, for a beginner. The disappointment was the lack of content.

If you were to extend this and add more content then I would give it a higher score. As it is now, I must deduct points because I would have liked to see more.

TravMaster87 responds:

Thanks for your input. :)
